The DS1302+ is a highly integrated, real-time clock (RTC) and calendar chip with a serial interface and a programmable trickle-charger for a backup battery. It provides year, month, date, hour, minute, and second information, including leap year compensation. The device also includes 31 bytes of battery-backed, nonvolatile SRAM (NVSRAM) for data storage.
