SIA: In July, China's semiconductor sales increased by 2.6% on a monthly basis and decreased by 18.7% annually
On September 6th, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) of the United States reported that the global semiconductor industry's total sales in July 2023 were $43.2 billion, an increase of 2.3% from $42.2 billion in June 2023, but a decrease of 11.8% from $49 billion in July 2022.
From a regional perspective, monthly sales in the Americas (6.3%), China (2.6%), Europe (0.5%), and Asia Pacific/all other regions (0.3%) have all increased, but Japan (-1.0%) has slightly decreased. Year-on-year sales in Europe increased by 5.9%, but decreased in Japan (-4.3%), the Americas (-7.1%), Asia Pacific/Other regions (-16.2%), and China (-18.7%).

Compared to last year, global sales are still declining, but the year-on-year decrease in July is the smallest so far this year, which gives people reason to be optimistic about the rest of 2023 and beyond
