Samsung Display will supply OLED screens for iPhone SE 4

Samsung Display, the world's largest OLED panel manufacturer, will supply OLED panels for the next generation iPhone SE 4. Since the release of the iPhone X, this South Korean company has been supplying OLED panels to Apple, and although its supply share has been declining year by year, it will continue to supply.

Samsung Display will provide OLED panels for the iPhone SE 4 to be released in the first half of 2025. This will be the first iPhone SE to feature OLED panels. All previous iPhone SE models used LCD screens.

However, Samsung Display is not the only company supplying OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone SE 4. LG Display will also supply OLED panels for iPhone SE 4.

A few years ago, LG Display's P-OLED panel had some issues, including lifespan and power consumption. However, the company has since resolved these issues and its panels are now on par with Samsung Display's OLED panels.

Apple has been reducing its reliance on Samsung's OLED display panels. In the past few years, the company has increasingly purchased panels from LG Display for high-end iPhones. Apple's first OLED iPad uses Tandem OLED panels from LG Display and Samsung Display.
