According to the statement, this investment will increase the number of Microsoft's data centers in Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne by 45%, from 20 to 29. In addition, Microsoft will also collaborate with New South Wales to establish the Microsoft Data Center Academy in Australia.
Steven Worrall, General Manager of Microsoft Australia, stated that this expenditure "will not only achieve a safer and more secure digital economy, but also provide a platform to promote growth and innovation in the AI era".
