LG Display will launch an 18 inch sliding car OLED display

LG Display announced on August 14th that it will participate in the three-day "K-Display 2024" event at COEX in Gangnam gu, Seoul, to introduce its OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology. LG Display will showcase large OLED displays for TV and gaming, as well as ultra large in car display solutions optimized for SDV (Software Defined Vehicles), under the theme of "A Better Future".

A major highlight of this exhibition is the 83 inch OLED TV panel using the new "META Technology 2.0", which has increased brightness by about 42% compared to previous models. The maximum brightness of this panel is 3000 nits, making it one of the brightest OLED TV panels currently available.

The gaming OLED lineup is also a major highlight, with various sizes available (27 inches, 31.5 inches, 34 inches, 39 inches, 45 inches). These gaming OLEDs also utilize META technology 2.0 to improve image quality. They have fast response time and high refresh rate, and minimize the "reflection phenomenon" of surrounding objects reflecting onto the screen in dark scenes. In gaming OLED, the 45 inch product adopts "bendable" technology, allowing the screen to bend and unfold to a curvature of 800R, providing a more immersive gaming experience.

For car displays, LG Display showcased a super sized solution optimized for SDV. 17 inch ATO (Advanced Thin OLED) is a product that is 20% thinner than existing glass substrate OLEDs. This monitor allows users to instantly grasp various information on a large screen and easily operate vehicle functions simultaneously. In addition, the largest existing in car display, the "57 inch pillar to pillar LCD," features a naturally curved screen and a self-developed high-sensitivity "In Cell Touch" function, providing excellent touch sensitivity.

Another innovative product on display is the "18 inch sliding car OLED", which is usually rolled up and hidden on the rear seat ceiling, and can be unfolded downwards when needed by users. This way, even in the car, you can watch movies, news, and participate in video conferences on the big screen.

A representative from LG Display said, "We will continue to launch innovative products that utilize our industry-leading proprietary OLED technology to provide differentiated customer value in various aspects such as image quality, design, and environmental protection
