Largen's revenue in March was NT $3.45 billion, with a year-on-year and month on month increase
Largen recently released its March financial report, which showed a revenue of NT $3.45 billion (same below), a monthly increase of 1.8% and an annual increase of 4.3%, but it was lower than the market entity's previous expectation of NT $4.2 billion.
Largen said that the continuous release of high-end Android phones in Chinese Mainland and the return of normal working days drove the monthly increase of revenue. As Android lenses in Chinese Mainland offset the decline in iPhone lens shipments, it is expected that the revenue in April will be the same as that in March.
Analysts say that although the Android camp has successively released annual flagship models such as the OPPO Find X7, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Honor Magic6, driving the continuous shipment of high-end mobile phone lenses, due to the traditional sales off-season of the iPhone 15 series, the shipment volume of iPhone lenses has declined, with an estimated quarterly revenue of 11.3 billion yuan, a quarterly decrease of 36.7%, and a net profit after tax of 4.38 billion yuan, a quarterly decrease of 11.7%.
In terms of the market, as various mobile phone brands such as Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, and vivo successively launch new flagship phones with AI applications, 2024 can almost be said to be the first year of AI phones and become a key tool for accelerating the recovery of the global mobile phone market. Supply chains such as Largen are expected to benefit.
The Largen Conference will be held on April 11th, during which the first quarter financial results and outlook for the second quarter will be announced to the public. In addition, the prospects of the mobile phone industry, the progress of periscope lens applications, whether the gross profit margin and capacity utilization rate have rebounded, and the progress of new factories will become the focus of attention at the legal conference.
