INVENTEC, a major electronics manufacturer in Taiwan, China, China, is actively promoting various edge AI computing applications. In the first quarter of this year, it officially launched a complete one-stop AI IP import service and "VectorMesh" AI accelerator, and continues to move towards IP commercialization. In July, to further meet the AI needs in the MCU field, INVENTEC officially launched the Minima series of NPU (neural processing unit) IPs aimed at ultra-low gate counts, while also aiming for the highest computing power per unit cost.
Xu Guohan, Director of INVENTEC AI Chip Design Department, talked about future prospects and pointed out that Magna IP series will continue to be developed to improve PPA competitiveness. In addition, we will also deepen the one-stop IP import and integration services, including the development of fully automated toolchains required for integration, allowing IC design companies to develop online at any time, greatly reducing cross validation time and accelerating product launch.
INVENTEC has strengthened its AI layout in recent years, with customers including chip giants AMD and NVIDIA. Although it was once affected by market shortages and the shipment of high-end servers was dragged down, the supply chain scheduling situation has improved, and it is expected that the shipment volume in the first quarter of next year will add new momentum.
