At present, the prices of small and medium-sized panels in the panel market have not rebounded significantly, and demand is sluggish. However, the prices of large-sized panels reached a high point in September and remained stable in October. Due to the weakening of panel demand, panel prices may loosen and decline in the future, with a slow downward trend expected until the first quarter of 2024.
The legal entity estimates that the revenue of panel manufacturers will reach a high point in the third quarter and is expected to remain flat in profit and loss; In the fourth quarter, both volume and price will decline simultaneously, and revenue will also decrease.
In September, INNOLUX shipped a total of 9.29 million large-sized panels, a monthly increase of 3.1%; 21.41 million small and medium-sized panels were shipped, a decrease of 16.1% compared to the previous month. In the third quarter, 27.95 million large-sized panels were shipped, a decrease of 17.1% month on month; The shipment of small and medium-sized panels reached 70.78 million pieces, a decrease of 5.6% compared to the previous month.
The industry points out that the demand for mobile phones is weak this year, and the prices of small and medium-sized panels have not improved. At the same time, the shipment of laptop and display panels is not ideal.
Regarding other major manufacturers, AUO has not yet released its financial report for the third quarter of 2023; Caijing's consolidated revenue in the third quarter was about 3.264 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.45%, with significant growth in small and large-sized panel products; GiantPlus consolidated revenue of 2.161 billion yuan in the third quarter, a quarterly decrease of 8% and an annual decrease of 15.95%.
