HP Releases Spectre Fold New Folding Screen Laptop, priced at $5000
HP recently released the Spectre Fold new foldable screen laptop, which HP claims to be the world's thinnest and smallest 17 inch foldable screen laptop. The HP Spectre Fold weighs 1.6kg with a keyboard, which is only 0.1kg heavier than Apple's latest 15 inch MacBook Air.

In addition to being the "thinnest and smallest," HP also calls this the "world's first foldable screen laptop with built-in AI." The built-in AI enables the laptop to monitor user privacy, safety, and health, such as customized screen time reminders for users through machine learning, touch free content control, or automatic screen locking when users temporarily leave the computer.
It is reported that the HP Spectre Fold is equipped with the Intel Core i7-1250U chip, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of SSD storage space, 1920 × 2560 OLED screen.
It is worth mentioning that the HP Spectre Fold comes with a bracket, which eliminates the need for additional brackets when users place the screen horizontally.
At present, there are more and more foldable screen laptops, but they still cannot be popularized. The obvious advantage of folding is that the body of the folding screen has a large-sized display while also considering portability. The main reason why it cannot be popularized is due to its price. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is priced at $2499, the Asus Zen Book 17 Fold is priced at $3499, and the HP Spectre Fold is priced as high as $4999.99.
