Hongteng Precision, a subsidiary of Hon Hai, has invested 500 million US dollars to establish new factories in India and Vietnam
According to Taiwan Media Economic Daily, Hon Hai and its subsidiary, Hongteng Precision Technology, recently announced that Hongteng has invested $400 million in its Indian subsidiary through its Singapore subsidiary, and another $100 million in its Vietnamese subsidiary, Yi'an, to establish new factories in India and Vietnam.
Hongteng announced that it will inject $500 million into its wholly-owned subsidiary FoxconnInterconnect Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd. (FIT Singapore).
FIT Singapore has injected 100 million US dollars into Fu Wing InterconnectTechnology (Nghe An) Company Limited in Nghe An Province, Vietnam; FIT Singapore has injected $400 million into India's Chang YiInterconnect Technology (India) Private Limited, which holds 99.99% of its equity.
Hong Teng India's Chang Yi Interconnect Technology previously acquired land in the southern state of Trengana in Hyderabad to build factories, research and development centers, and dormitories; Hongteng held a groundbreaking ceremony in mid May at its new factory in Trengana Pradesh. It is speculated that the new factory in India will produce Apple AirPods headphones as soon as the end of 2024.
Previously, it was reported that Hongteng has chosen the local WHA Weihua Industrial Zone in central Vietnam's Yeon Province as its new investment destination, planning to produce electronic components such as wireless headphones, connecting cables, wireless chargers, speakers, and connectors.
