Gigabyte's server revenue in 2023 exceeded a record high of NT $50 billion
Gigabyte's revenue has exceeded NT $100 billion for three consecutive years, thanks to the hot sales of artificial intelligence (AI) servers. Gigabyte's server department achieved a record high revenue of over NT $50 billion in 2023, and its performance in the second half of the year exceeded expectations. Gigabyte Chairman Ye Peicheng stated that the key to 2024 is the supply of AI chips, and the automotive electronics sector will be carefully laid out this year.

Gigabyte's server revenue in 2022 was 20.7 billion yuan, breaking through 50 billion yuan in 2023. The revenue in the first three quarters exceeded 30 billion yuan, and the revenue in the fourth quarter exceeded 20 billion yuan, setting a new historical high.
Ye Peicheng stated that AI chip supply is expected to remain tight in the first half of 2024, and there will only be an opportunity to ease in the second half. However, as new and old chips alternate in the second half, customers will also face it with caution. Overall, Gigabyte expects its server revenue performance to be the same in the first half of 2024 as in the second half of 2023, and there is an opportunity for further breakthroughs and upward growth in the second half of 2024.

In terms of automotive electronics, Gigabyte set up relevant departments in 2018, with products including automatic driving control host, intelligent traffic license plate recognition, information communication controller, advanced driving assistance system ADAS, etc., and cooperated with the start-up Blaize to carry out edge computing. Ye Peicheng stated that Gigabyte has always been conservative and cautious in its response to the automotive electronics industry, as this field is very different from PC. He stated that the automotive electronics project laid out by Gigabyte is related to the central control host components, and sensors will not be involved. Although the charging station business has been booming recently and Gigabyte is evaluating it, it has not yet been determined to enter this field.
