CATL officially announced that on August 16th, it will hold its first offline new product launch, with posters and trailers mentioning information such as "Number One New Product", "Only Fast Not Breaking", and "Fast to Break Imagination", or suggesting that it will bring new fast charging batteries.
According to public sources, in July, CATL Chief Scientist Wu Kai revealed that CATL's new product can travel 400 kilometers in 10 minutes of charging, only slightly slower than refueling, and is expected to be launched in 2023. In the near future, CATL will achieve an ultra fast charging battery that can travel 400 kilometers in 5 to 7 minutes, completely solving the problem of charging anxiety.
It is reported that the 800V high-voltage platform is currently the main direction of fast charging technology for pure electric vehicles, including multiple new models such as the Xiaopeng G9, GAC Aian V, and BAIC Jihu Alpha S.
