AMD MI300 chip sales exceeded expectations and are expected to double revenue
Recently, research firm TrendForce Consulting pointed out that the sales performance of AI GPUs in AMD's data center department far exceeded previous expectations, especially the high-end GPU MI300 series, which is showing a significant growth trend. It is expected that the growth rate will double or even more in 2024.

AMD's supply chain partners in Taiwan, China, China, including Gigabyte, Wistron, Weiying, INVENTEC, and Quanta's Yunda, are expected to follow the trend and benefit from holding AMD product assembly orders.
TrendForce stated that data shows that the hot sales of AMD AI chips are mainly benefiting cloud service providers such as Microsoft and Oracle, which bring in large orders from these major customers. However, institutions remind that AMD's growth may erode Nvidia's share in the GPU market, and investors need to pay attention to related stocks.
Previously reported, AMD CEO Su Zifeng recently stated that AI is not only developing in a short period of time, but also experiencing explosive growth. Now, it is only a very early stage of the development of the AI era. It is expected that the market will experience "moderate" growth in the second half of 2024, with greater upward potential. AMD's revenue related to AI chips is expected to reach $3.5 billion in 2024, higher than the previously estimated $2 billion.
