AI server giant Wiwynn launches construction of new factory, investing NT $4.468 billion
Wiwynn, a server subsidiary of Wistron, a large foundry, announced on July 11 that it would start the construction of the third phase project in Nanke Park, Taiwan, China, China. At present, the bidding has been completed, and the total investment of the project is up to 4.468 billion New Taiwan Dollars. Wiwynn stated that the factory will start construction this year and is expected to be completed by 2027. In the future, the products produced by the factory will continue to be shipped to Malaysia for later assembly.

Wiwynn has benefited from the wave of artificial intelligence (AI) and currently relies entirely on server manufacturing for its revenue. From the end of 2023 until now, the company's AI server revenue accounts for approximately 20%. Wiwynn has been continuously expanding the production capacity of its various factories in recent years. Currently, more than 70% of the production capacity comes from its North American Mexico factory, and another 10% to 15% comes from its parent company Wistron's factory in the Czech Republic. The current proportion of production capacity in the Asia Pacific region is about 10% to 15%.
According to the financial report, Wiwynn's consolidated revenue for June was NT $30.758 billion, a monthly increase of 24.2% and an annual increase of 36%, setting a new record in nearly 15 months. From January to June 2024, Wiwynn's consolidated revenue increased by 12.7% year-on-year. Looking ahead, the company is optimistic about the launch of a new AI server product in the second half of the year, which will further drive overall operational performance.
