After selling EUC, Broadcom suspended sales of $1 billion Carbon Black security software business

According to insiders, Broadcom has suspended the sales process of its security software business Carbon Black, which may be valued at around $1 billion, including debt.

Insiders who requested anonymity due to undisclosed details stated that the signs of interest did not meet Broadcom's expectations.

Insiders added that Broadcom may choose to try selling the business again.

A representative from Broadcom declined to comment.

Broadcom has been seeking to sell Carbon Black and its End User Computing (EUC) division, which KKR agreed to acquire for approximately $4 billion on February 26th. After the transaction is completed, EUC will become an independent company. The transaction is expected to be completed in 2024, but it must meet customary transaction conditions, including regulatory approval.
